The organization keeps an MS SQL server (1st) with a front end to login and see your assignments via a web browser. This application needs to take the username/password, fetch the info from the MS SQL/frontend and add it to a MySQL server (2nd) and show it in an own PHP table with a few extra input options.
So user will be able to login on the 2nd, do their changes/additions, which are then only saved on the second server. The second server is to be synchronized as a pure slave from the first server, so only fetching data from 1st. Should any differences ever occur, these need to be listed separately on the 2nd and taken out of the "current list" on the 2nd.
Finally a monthly report is to be printed in a specified format, in a Microsoft Word template.
## Deliverables
WORKERS are freelancing for the ORGANIZATION.
A new site is needed for WORKERS. Let's call it NEWSITE. NEWSITE is to be built from the ground by you and run on PHP and MySQL on a linux server.
WORKER comes to NEWSITE, enter his username and password that he gets from ORGANIZATION to use on their platform. NEWSITE takes his user/pass and login and fetch/synchronize assignments with the ORGANIZATION. The assignments are shown on their server in a simple table on an ASP page.
When NEWSITE is synchronized, WORKER can enter YES/NO to two questions, and also number of kilometers he drove on that day. All his changes are saved on NEWSITE and are never fed back to ORGANIZATION. So all data is only downstream from ORGANIZATION and their MS SQL/ASP solution. Should anything not match up, the non-matching item is transfered on NEWSITE from MAIN table to CHANGES table just to be kept there for infomational purposes.
Inside NEWSITE the data for the assignments is presented and basic calculations are performed, like total income, number of kilometers driven and number of assignments for each month.
The output from NEWSITE is to be made into a ready made template, made in Microsoft Excel (I wrote MS Word before, that's wrong, it needs to be Excel!). It could possibly be made in a form which is very similar to the Excel template, as long as it fits naturally on an European A4 page.
This is not a high priority project and we can consider it taking a bit longer in exchange for a cheaper price.
