[JavaScript] Function won't update its user role prefix and color

I have developed a canvas game written in Javascript. When you execute the /login <password> command in-game, a user role prefix is supposed to display in your nickname (for example: [Owner] <username>). The nickname color is also supposed to change to a different color. For some reason this won't work.
