Electronics expert required for technical assistance with this project: 40kHz Ultrasound transmitter and receiver set-up as Signal Generator using Microcontrollers. I am trying to set-up a system to scan objects using 40kHz tranceivers (not range finders) and record the returned signal to be later analyzed for variation in amplitude heights. You must have good understanding of analog/digital signals. At present I have been looking at Arduino boards and Raspberry Pi however it may seem either may not be sufficient, hence I need expert advice on this and how to proceed, with which microcontroller. I am also considering incorporating LabView if necessary. Please advice me what is best to get the job done, and if you can assist me at least with the hardware side of things. Ideally I am looking for someone to do the hardware from your end, program it and then show me how to replicate it from here. Timeframe for project is around three weeks, so work needs to begin asap.

Dear sir I have more than 7 years experience in digital design using fpga and microcontrollers, your project is well suited to be implemented using fpga, the received signals will be analysed inside the fpga and the results can be displayed on pc or character lcd

First of all tell us the hardware which you want to use for ultrasonic transmitter. Or You want us to give you all the product design ? Many ultrasonic sensors use serial communication to interact with microcontrollers so it depends on the exact application that which microcontroller can be used. If you want to interface it with a PC then you be needing labview….That’s all I can say at this time. Please open chat window to discuss further................................

Hello! I have experience programming in C / C + + for almost 20 years. Devices based on Arduino, I'm doing more than 3 years. I have experience making "smart house" on the Arduino. More, I have experience in: - building hydroponics installations on Arduino - the control system with LED lights - equipment for the reality-show "Treasure Room" (complete within 3 days) - Control system for printing equipment (now in progress). I am ready to write a program for Arduino and provide a complete description of the device. I have experience working with "40kHz Ultrasonic transmitter and receiver", but I need more information on your project.

I once worked on a similar project. Using a 40kHz ultrasonic waves to measure the thickness of a metal object and display it in an image. I think it is very appropriate to be able to work together with you to do the same research topic.

I have worked developing ultrasound based systems. Iam aware of the attenuation characteristics of the ultrasound waves. Will be able to support you to get the desired result. I think there is no need to use development boards and labview. I don't know what level of features you would like to build on over this hardware. Taking into account the description you have provided, an 8-bit microcontroller with a variable gain controlled analog front end will work decently well. I would like to proceed as per the following. 1. I will send you the requirement document ( with necessary block diagrams) as understood by me. 2. Upon confirmation i will send the block diagram of various sections of the whole unit. 3. Component procurement + Implementation begins 4. Will share the schematics, test codes and results, photos.. I request you to reply me. I need more information. You mentioned that u need to scan objects. This calls for a system that creates a 3D or 2D model of the object shape in the RAM space. The time of 3 weeks is very tight, taking into account the availability of components. However i can try to complete it by 4 weeks time.
