I am in need of a professional who is skilled in Power BI and data analytics to create a detailed activity log. The goal is to track user activities on Power BI, including: - Their login and logout times - Their interactions with dashboards and reports Specifically, for dashboard and report interactions, I would like to capture: - The page views - Connection details to Excel data model The ideal freelancer for this project would have in-depth experience with Power BI, data analytics, and user behaviour analysis. Experience with Excel data model connections would be a plus. This project requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of how to interpret user interaction data. Your role will involve not only setting up the tracking system but also providing insights based on the data collected. With your help, we aim to improve the user experience and functionality of our Power BI dashboards and reports based on the insights gained from this activity log. The information we need to collect needs to be saved in a database on Azure SQL Server or as a second option in a blob storage. For this project, I want to use something called the Get-PowerBIActivityEvent PowerShell cmdlet rather than the Get Activity Events REST API. The project will automatically check for user activities from the day before, it could be shceduled in a server or similar. We will run this every day making sure to get all the information from previous day, or from the last date extracted in previous run. If something goes wrong, the system should be able to tell us what happened, like in a message or an error log in the database. We are going to use this solution in 3 customers, you will develop a PoC and then install in the 3 customers sharing screen. Code must be open, I need to be able to read, understand and debug.
