Creation application to monitor textfile and send content via TCP or UDP to an IP-address

Hello I have over 17 years of experience with C++, Windows API and Microsoft Visual Studio. Also, I have several years of experience with Delphi. I have installed Delphi 7 and Delphi XE2, Delphi XE4 on my different virtual machines.

Can deliver this application for you in Delphi. I'm using the latest Delphi 10.2.3 Tokyo. Please note that http:// protocol is TCP only and not UDP. Hello, If Delphi, then I prefer the last one, XE 10.2. But can use also another on your choice, I have all. Monitoring - obviously, based wait for handle returned by Windows function FindFirstChangeNotification. Some details should be concretized. What if file time changed, but content not (file re-saved with the same contents)? Send or not? Message details. Obviously, it should be placed in some envelope - XML, HTML or similar. And some way should be determined to distinguish auto messages about file change and user messages by Update button. Best regards, Maris

Having worked as a Delphi Developer in the UK for 20 years. I feel that this small project would be an ideal one for me to understand how this freelancer.com work is executed. I have developed in Delphi since version 3 and regularly updated only missing a few versions from then to the current latest version of Tokyo. From my experience of doing these sort of file detection routines, I would also add an additional setting to allow the poll interval on the file to be changed. This could be set to an initial default of 1 second, but it also allow for you to make changes should it go onto a machine that is struggling with performance due to other system loading.
