I am a sole trader, the client of mine a ltd, and the company I openly contracted to perform the website work is also ltd. 2 x jobs - not through vworker - but directly, the company director met the client, had regular meetings, and we had weekly updated by phone and email. After assurances it will be completed this week and all is well on project 1 I was sent an email that confirmed the director had forgot to tell his team what the project was so they refunded my money. But as I was expecting the project to be finished, I needed the money to pay rent, my PII insurance renewal, and other bills. I subcontracted through vworker and got the job done, but with this project now late my client demanded compensation of extra work for free, meaning I could not do other projects I had lined up, and my client had to pay our heating and electricity bills and buy us food. Expecting B8 make it up with the 2nd project I was shocked to find after 3 months they decided it could not be done. Refunded all money, and admitted in a meeting with me and the client present, that the problem had been they were marketing for bigger clients who paid more and then got lost in projects. My projects were both collaborative, meaning I had invested my time and effort directly. The projects are now both seriously over run and result in me having higher costs to rectify than the refunds allow. Work performed was below par anyway, including security flaws. Exceptional stress (on Friday I was in hospital with a suspected heart attack) Compensation claims from other clients of mine because I do not have time and resource and energy to look after them as well, Including a supplier using solicotor recovery because I cannot pay his bill, I've never written to B8 or said that I will accept the refunds and walk away, but nor have I said I am seeking compensation. So a completely fresh claim, with lots of documents confirming they accept liability, but unaware I am seeking compensation. I am seeking representation to pursue such a claim.
