I am looking for an experienced developer with extensive knowledge and experience in writing an API for a PHP web app. I have a basic knowledge of PHP code myself so I am currently writing a detailed spec that explains the methods we need and which tables/variables are involved etc. But the basic job is that we need a quality, secure API written with API key authentication and three methods to start with, which may be expanded once the initial job is over. I'm looking for someone to work through this with me and explain things along the way so that I can understand what's being done and can take a look through the code in case I ever need to make any updates. One of the end goals is to use this API with Zapier and make it open so that people can use it in their own way. I've set the budget at this level because I had to fill something in but this can be discussed as I'm sure some people will offer less and others more once the details have been looked over.
