Wordpress/Woocommerce distance based postage charge

Hello, Please note this is a rough bid. I have to place something to be able to ask questions and clarify the details. "I'd firstly like this to be calculated automatically so that a user simply enters the shop's postcode and the postcodes to which it delivers are automatically generated in three different custom meta fields, for all within 1-3 miles, 3-4 miles and 4-5 miles". One possible option could be to store postcode boundaries (like [login to view URL]) in your database. That way the system would find all postcodes lying within a specified radius from the entered postcode using mysql geospatial queries. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hi, See, I read your project details. Basically we need to build a custom Shipping Price calculation Plugin with Google or Bing Map API(For Distance calculation). In That case, whole things can be done quickly. Also we need to incorporate it with your Woocommerce. There have another option to build it. Like Price will be calculated Automatically using Courier API. Like FedEX, DHL etc. in that case you will be a Merchant of those Courier company and when even people will enter details like Address Then price will calculate Automatically to deliver the product in that location range(will be defined in Admin panel other wise it will show- Product can't deliver in your location) and Also mind it the Courier price will be depended on Location to deliver the product, Product weight and Dimension. SO, we need to entry all if we gonna use Courier API also. After place the order Courier company also will get notification of the order and then they will pickup product from your address(registered with Courier company) and supply to Customer's Address. Hello Sir, Greetings for the day! I understand you want a distance based postage charge set up in your wordpress woocommerce website. I follow currently you are manually importing all shops which are within 5 miles of the given postcode by user. I will make the system works as below: Suppose, user inputs a postcode SW1W 0NY and my query will search the postcodes to which it delivers and make separate lists which are - 1. within 1-3 miles, 2. within 3-4 miles and 3. within 4-5 miles Next the new 'delivery method' will check the delivery postcode of customer's order. If the delivery postcode is within 1-3 miles of the shop it will add £2 to the total amount. If the delivery postcode is within 3-4 miles of the shop it will add £3 to the total amount. Similarly, if the delivery postcode is within 4-5 miles of the shop it will add £5 to the total amount. I will keep options at back end so you can change the £ amount for each range. This will help you to increase the charge in future when your business will grow gradually. The logic is pretty much clear to me.
