hi, I have been working as Sysadmin for a long time, so I am familiar with tshoot activities like this one. My approach is login to the VPS server under ssh session, I will go to apache/nginx web server to verify the access/error log to see the "bad bot" activities. After that, I can compose a Perl/Python script to monitor webserver logs... If it sees a "bad bod" symptom, it will use iptables to ban/block that source IP and inform to you via email/slack to let you know about that event. Regards, --T
