Using PHP, you are required to read the finger print from the finger print scanner device, send that fingerprint image to the server and check if a similar record exists? If exists, reply with name of person else show blank form to make his profile. NOTE: 1. Please bid only if you really know how it works. 2. Hi, If you have the API documentation of this device then yes it can be done. PHP has support for both Socket programing and ports handling. More over if the API is COM based then PHP has support for COM object access as well. The device will need to be attached to the server though. By server, I mean the machine which has PHP installed. You can remotely access the device as long as its attached to the server. I can do all this but I need to know the API documentation before I commit and needless to say, the bidding price is not fit for this kind of work. A proper feasibility report shall be given upon analyzing the API documentation. About me: I am an expert level PHP developer with over 9 years of experience. Before that I was an amateur Device driver developer for LinuX and I have made Computer Telephony application using TR1000 board from Cantata Technologies. This system was made for Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology in USA. The system allows doctors to record transcripts over phone line from anywhere. Regards, Asad
