We need someone to apply a patch to PHP 4.3.9 that modifies the php_mail routine that is used each time a script calls the mail() function by adding extra headers. Please review the attached file to see the code that is applied when using the linux patch command prior to recompiling. This server runs the Plesk 8 control panel with relies heavily on PHP. If you are chosen for this project, you must understand that "breaking" PHP is not acceptable. This is a production server that cannot be taken offline because of a mistake. If you do not understand what we are asking for, do not bid on this project. If you have never recompiled or patched PHP before, this project is not for you. You need to be able to review the patch for potential errors before the patch is applied. The budget ceiling for this project is $40 USD. Any bids higher than $40 will be ignored. Considering that root access will be required, this project is not available to any providers with less than 5 positive feedbacks on similar tasks.
