Fixing game engine

Im using a game engine which is free and open source [login to view URL] However when I try and run it, it wont work "1)Goto sources and copy magewars to servers/mw/www 2)rename magewars to mw 3) Check config/[login to view URL] There is a port value (10876 by default) You can change this numeric value to whatever suits your needs. Just check it does not conflict with your others services. 4) on linux go to the game directory and type bash runserver This should start the server. 5) open chrome or firefox and go to http://your-server-address:1337/mw You should see the login screen. Type any nickname an play. I hope this will help." Those were the instructions that were given to run the game, however I followed it exactly and the game client does not run, I have no idea why. I need someone to fix it so I am able to play basically.
