Hi, I have more than a decade of experience dealing with web applications of different technology and business stacks. Importantly, I am good in RCA and server side application optimization. As you said, your application has started to lagging all of a sudden after one year of smooth run, this could have been caused of because of two reasons 1. Increase in amount of data in database and site traffic with missing database INDEXes, this can choke the database host all alone 2. Change of environment might have caused something on the backend(both on application and database) Having said, I can look into it first from the database perspective and this could get rectified without even touching the site code otherwise we can look into it more from the application code to get to the root cause of this.
