I am in need of a music notation publishing program. It's similar to Finale but does not use the "grand staff" or ledger lines to show the pitches of notes. Instead it uses colored notes to represent different pitches. It still utilizes notes with standard rhythm values and rests.
Along with chord symbols it would also include bass and treble clefs along with key and time signatures. I would not need for it to include articulations (staccato, accent etc.); or many other signs and symbols you find in standard music notation software.
Graphic interface would be basic such as colored letters, notes, rests, undo and erase buttons, etc. Depending upon difficulty of programming, maybe an option to show some chords in picture format (such as a 2 octave keyboard diagram with colored dots on their respective keys.) I have other details but this is the basic idea.
