We have Dog Web site that focuses on sharing latest news and stories relating to dogs across a number of categories. This site will also show user generated pictures and videos of their dogs. We currently have Wordpress installed, and you will need to do the following: 1. Propose a number of designs for this site including a logo 2. Customize the Theme "Canvas" from Woo themes, to the accepted design you created 3. Customize the layout. 4. Propose a method on how a user can easily (think Grand Mother Easy) share their pictures and or videos to the website by using a smartphone or computer. DESIGN You must be a great designer! You will prepare a number of mockups for me to look at before implementation. I can give you a basic idea on what I want, but you will come up with the creative design to suit a Doggy Site. The Logo will be used on the site as well as on Social Network sites. Once your design is approved, you will then move to the next step. CANVAS THEME The Wordpress site we have uses a theme from Woo Themes ([login to view URL]) called Canvass. This is a highly customizable theme! There are also videos there to show you more about it. You will need to incorporate your design into this theme. LAYOUT We want this site to function like a magazine. The home page will be setup to show a number of blocks containing latest posts. We want to be able to determine which categories will feature a post on the home page. The site will have a Left Sidebar, One horizontal expandable Nav Menu. This Layout modification will be easy using the canvas theme. But we will give you more detail about how we want it to look. PICTURES AND VIDEOS You will conduct research on what the best setup is to make it Grandmother easy to upload pictures and videos to this website. A user can submit with their Smart Phone (preferred) or use their Computer. We will then moderate the submissions, brand the image or video with our logo and then submit to our Youtube and/or Flickr account. Then display it on our site in the relevant category. Please research, and propose a plan on how to do this that makes it easy for both the user and for us to accomplish this process. To be considered for this job, you must provide examples of designs you have created. For special consideration, you can mock up a proposal for this site. (Of course you will own all rights to anything submitted) Also, you must demonstrate your experience working with Wordpress. As a side note, should you do a great job, we will have another site for you to work on. Plus we have hundreds of other wordpress sites that need work as well - so there is plenty of work available for the right person! We are ready to go, so please submit your bid for this job.
