php layout and site modification

My site, [[login to view URL]][1], requires a layout modification and additional fields. As the client searches in a geographic area, I want to create a 'preferred list' that appears in priority to the current listing. I also want to validate that my google adsense ID appears consistently throughout the published pages. I want to add additional fields to the records that display under the preferred listing.
