I have a site with Mambo CMS, and am also running external apps. Currently, users have to sign up for each application, and this just makes the database unnecessarily bloated. What I need is to have the user tables for Mambo synched with external applications. The idea here is for the applications to still be able to function independently of each other and basically share member data. Ideally, the solution will: * Synchronize member data across both applications (i.e., if a person joins Mambo, (s)he is automatically written to the application's user data), and vice versa * Sychronize logins (i.e., if the user is logged into Mambo, then (s)he can click on the app and be logged in there). I've seen many scripts that allow for this. Only having the username and password shared is sufficient. The user can put in his/her own profile information within the application itself. This hopefully will keep complexity down. **I do not expect full integration with the CMS!** Since these are separate applications, they should remain standalone, only able to share user information. I'd prefer the solution to be an independent script/application that could be called to do the synch. I don't want the source code for any application altered (this prevents complications later on). Also, the script should not require that the core files for Mambo or any other pre-existing application be hacked. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Saturday Dec 4, 2004 8:15:01 PM: IMPORTANT NOTE: PROJECT IS NOW SIMPLER DUE TO RECENT DEVELOPMENT. PLEASE READ! Because the eFiction application has now been released as an official Mambo component, I no longer need this application bridged. Also, a successful bridge (released as a component) has been built for the Simple Machines forum. What I NEED IMMEDIATELY is to have the blogger software b2evolution "bridged" in like manner (i.e., a bridge component is built that can have the softwares communicate without altering source code). This software is located at http://www.b2evolution.net. Again, I only need the blogger at this time. However, your solution should be modular enough to add other bridged applications in the future. I need this ASAP, so interested parties PLEASE respond. Thank you. ## Platform This script must run on an Apache web server in Linux environment. Broadcast message 11/21 Hello to all bidders. With respect to the bridge and the types of software to be synched with Mambo, I forgot to include a blogger. Currently, Mambo does not have a blog component that has the features I want, and I thought it best to simply choose a good standalone product and interface it with Mambo. The one I have tentatively chosen is WordPress. Here is the link for this software: [login to view URL] As with eFiction, I need this bridged/synchronized with Mambo, rather than worry about making it into a component. As of this moment, WordPress has not officially been added to our software selection, but it is a top contender and will most probably be chosen. Please review the code and submit/adjust your bid price accordingly. Thanks!
