Technical Specs for Sidebar Search Website is built using WordPress on a Linux server running PHP 5 Objective: To create a sidebar search application using WordPress tags. Background: The website contains a directory of artists. Each artist has a post within a specific category. There are several pages that utilize the List Category Post plugin to list the artists alphabetically on pages that represent each category. The sidebar search box should contain a set of checkboxes created from post tags that are associated with the category. Each category specific page should display only the tags that are relevant to that page. Function: A user should be able to select multiple checkboxes and click a search button. The multiple tags should be passed to the search function and the results should then be displayed. The same set of tags should remain on that page as well, keeping the user within the initial category they were browsing. Upon changing to a different category page the available tags should update to the set associated with the new category. Requirements: The application needs to be posted in the sidebar of the existing page structure but only on the category pages. The application should not conflict with any other plugins or widgets. The search box should be able to be updated to include new tags as they are created or to delete unused tags. Should be delivered within one week.
