A little background: We are a calibration lab. We basically go out to customer sites and calibrate their equipment. When calibrations are done we enter the customers instrument information along with the calibration data into an old database program called Q & A. In order to allow my customers to see their calibration information online, I implemented a PHP frontend to a mySQL database. I use the Q&A export feature to export the data into a .dbf file, and then I use Navicat to synchronize that DB with the MySQL database on my host server. I then implemented the Redbrix php mySQL front end in order to access that data. I modified it a little bit so that customers could only see their own data when they logged in(Redbrix does not provide this functionality out of the box). For more information on the Redbrix php code go to www.redbrix.org. So, I've been working on modifying the redbrix code, and here is the work that is left to be done 1. Fix the sort function in the summary pages. When I go to sort by the date, it doesn't do it correctly because of the format the dates are stored in. This task is a little complicated because I would want a solution that does not involve changing the format of the fields. Right now they are Varchar I believe. 2. Fix a problem with the filter function. Since this wasn't designed from the start to give different views to different users, I had to modify the code a little bit. One problem this has caused is that if User A sets a filter during his session, apparently this filter option is saved in a cookie and when User B logs in, he sees the same filter option applied to his session even though he did not set it himself. Continued in deliverables section..... ## Deliverables ///////////////////////////////////////////////////// 3. I currently have a QA program, the one I mentioned before. It has a way to export the data to a .dbf format. This is a dBase IV format. You can view .dbf files in access if you wish. The task, if it can be done, is to do write a program that runs at startup, resides in hte system tray, and synchronizes the Q&A database with the mySQL DB on my server. Please email me for login info to the site so you an see the layout nd see what I am talking about. As well, I can send you the Q&A database so you can play around and see if you can do it. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows, PHP, My SQL
