I am developing a boat simulation program as part of my thesis to explore wave motions. I have had some work done on this project but have been let down by the coder, hence this bid request. I want an application developed in C/C++ that displays two boat shapes on screen. The graphics don't need to be fancy, and the boat shapes should be a smaller rectangle with a eclipse shape for the front and back, and another larger boat of the same shape. What I would like is, using the keyboard arrow keys (left and right), to be able to direct the movement of these "boats". For example, if I press the up arrow key then the boat should start moving. If I press the right arrow key then the model should start to make a right hand turning circle just like a real boat would do if the rudder was place overto the right. Eachy increment of the arrow keys will increment thr rudder angle and speed of the boat. To make the boat slow down and stop, I would like to press the down arrow key until the boat stops. Each ship movement should be independant of the other ship. I would anticipate selecting each ship with the mouse and left clicking. In regards to collision detection I just need each object to know when a collission has occured and to display this on screen, also to be displayed on screen is the speed of each ship and angle of rudder.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
If possible could this be compiled to work on both a PC and MAC operating system.
