Hi, there I'm looking for a simple PDA application which can read GPS data from a NMEA compliant GPS receiver and superimpose an arrow on the respective map stored in JPEG format (similar to [login to view URL]). The maps associated to additional information files which contain GPS coordinates for the map as well as scale information and similar. There shall be an additionla file containing information on GPS coordinates of streets together with street names and types. In case the actual GPS coordinates refer to on e of the streets in the database the respective information shall be displayed on the superimposed image as well. As you can see this targets a navigation system, and - if I;'m happy with the result of the first step - I'll continue with the chosen coder for the next step(s) as well. PS: GPL code and libraries can be used, however I need to have CLEAR information as to what has been used. I need to have FULL access to and RIGHTS of the respective source code. GPL excluded.
