Online Gift Store

This project will involve coding for a e-commerce site that will be used by different companies to post their gifts for online purchasing. Companies that have registered with the site can then post their items for sale. Browsers should be able to search based on certain criterias and make their online purchases. Basic idea is similar to [login to view URL] but the difference is that this site will be for gifts only. Project should be developed with ASP running on IIS 5 and with MS SQL Server 2000 as the database. ## Deliverables 1) A search module that will allow users to search through the site for their desired products. 2) Registration module for browers to register themselves. Personal login page to allow registered users to check the status of the orders, past purchases etc. 3) Vendors registration module for companies to register and sell their products on the site. 4) Administrative module for registered vendors to add, modify and delete their products. Vendors should also be able to check for any orders that have been made for their products. 5) Administrative module for site administrators to monitor purchases made by clients, delivery status, etc. 6) Newsletter module where site administrators can update subscribed users regarding promotions, new items, etc, by sending the newsletters through a web-based interface. * The specs. given above is by no means exhaustive as I may have missed out on certain features/functionalities.
