Antique Store seeks Chicago programmer

As a graphic designer by trade, I had originally been contracted by this antique store to build their website. Since then I have become very involved with the store and have set up a plan for growth through technology. The store owner is all for the idea! I need a Microsoft Office Pro specializing in Access to assist in this undertaking. I'd like to revamp the out of date inventory system beginning with building out our GoLive website to a database driven site and then and maybe do some e-commerce??? We desperately need to get a handle on customer lists and customer requests, vendor lists, etc., etc., etc. We will also need a data entry person to enter the data once we have a place to put it. :-) Currently, the store is using Quickbooks as it's database. This has to go. I can visualize what our database needs to, but I am not that technical. My site is broken into 2 parts. The old - antiques and the new - reproductions. Look at the main site to see what I'd like to soon put into a database. Then look at the Scanlon Signature Series part of the site (reproductions) since these items can be reordered unlike antiques. It is the closest we come to a true retail business with repeat orders, etc. On the antique side, sometimes we are selling consigned pieces. For these items we need to have a way to track what is a consigned piece other than checking it inot a log book. It is important to move our inventory, so I'd like to know when we got the piece, and how long we want to hold onto it. Consigners also want reports on their merchandise.
