MS SQL Conversion into a Working MySQL Database

Hi, I have 12+ years experience in sql design and development in platforms such as MSSQL, MYSQL, Sybase ASE etc. I have done conversion of mssql database to MySQL database in the past involving millions of rows. assume that all column datatypes in mssql have corresponding MySQL datatype. assume number of significant tables are approx. 15-18 does this involve Unicode characters? what character set mssql db currently use ? what character set MySQL db is expected to use? what form the mssql db will be provided? will this be backup format? what is the version of mssql and MySQL? hope to hear from you regards Babu
