Game character animation

We have a game App on the App Store, and for the upcomming update we want to add pro animations for our characters, and we will need to keep adding them in a near future. We have a model already animated, but it needs to be redone (just keep mesh, we discontinue rigging and animation) The game places the player in the Wild West, it's a shooter on rails. Briefing: - we have a cowbow low poly model (same 3d mesh for all enemies) to be animated - the cowboy has 5 different animation sets. 1.1 enemy standing that lean out from behind a wall right side 1.2 enemy standing that lean out from behind a wall left side 2.1 enemy crouched that lean out standing up 3.1 enemy crouched that lean out crouched right side 3.2 enemy crouched that lean out crouched left side - each set has the following cicles. Animation length is critical, because they are heavy for the final binary (this is for people not experienced on game development), I add to the list the frames duration they should have: idle (1 frame) -enemy is hidden when idle- lean out (15 frames) shoot 1 (5 - 10frames) - we may not animate gun recoil- shoot 2 (5 - 10frames) - we may not animate gun recoil- hit1 (5 - 10frames) hit2 (5 - 10frames) take cover (10 frames) die (15-20 frames) Critical points: - Low bone count (no fingers for example) - short animations - only 2 bone weight per vertex - If ou work in 3D Studio would be great, Maya is accepted since we need a .FBX file to import to the engine.
