Looking to hire multiple illustrators / digital painters to create card art. Card art could include full digital paintings, quick concept art sketches, logo designs, or graphic design for developing a generic card layout. The game does not have one set theme, but card art will generally involve themes of fantasy/science fiction/fantastic creatures/animals. Other themes could include popular subjects with internet/video gaming/computer science/cryptocurrency culture (memes, technologies, cute internet things, etc).
Because we are looking to work with several artists it is expected (and encouraged) that each artist may have a theme they'd like to illustrate that might fall outside of these themes but still fit well in a set of digital trading cards. Don't hesitate to suggest themes if you have a particular niche.
It is intended that the first phase of this project will illustrate 100-300 cards using several artists. The workflow will be 1-2 trial cards to see style followed by a set of 10-30 cards if the artist's style is a good fit with the project.
Card types that require illustration:
--Sentient actors (characters, monsters/animals, robots, mythical beings, etc)
--Environments (Natural or artificial places, buildings, landscapes, etc)
--Resources (Useful items, weapons, technologies, clothing, transportation, etc)
--Actions (Can be literal actions like fleeing, fighting, swimming, eating, or more figurative actions like betrayal, representations of various emotions like love and sadness).
Deliverables:
For illustrators - Deliver card art, the illustration that would normally be seen as the centerpiece of a card. Does not include the card framing, description, etc.
For graphic designers - Deliver generic card framing, description, fonts, symbols, etc for use with card illustrations.
Some technical background details (just for your information):
This digital card game will be hosted on the ethereum network, a global computer network for running decentralized (serverless) applications. After development, the game will feature a voting system allowing players to add cards to the game and alter the abilities of existing cards. In this way, the card ecosystem can be self-balanced as players vote out or modify 'overpowered' cards and vote in new cards. The voting system for new cards will allow artists to introduce new card art to the game, with users voting the most popular cards into the system.

Even though I am not as experienced as others in my field, I feel as if I have a natural talent to illustration. For this project, I can easily design as well as draw resources and equipment, especially swords and weaponry using Adobe Illustrator, since I've been drawing my own for a couple years now. I've drawn many weapons, so you could say that's my specialty; so I can be a handy illustrator for resources and equipment cards. As for sentient actors, I've just started drawing characters, so I can get the hang of it pretty quickly, one of my talents is learning swiftly. I can pour a lot of lore into a drawing, which could work for pouring atmosphere into an environment. I could also have a try at designing the framework of the cards themselves. I learn as I work, so I get better the more I draw. I would love to hear from you about the details, and would love to show you my skills the best I can, also to discuss the details of my work on this project. This also seems like a very fun project to do, so I'd enjoy doing it as well.
