I have a small program written a long time ago using Borland Turbo Delphi (2006?).
This program accesses a Firebird 2.1 database.
There are changes that are needed to be made to the program and I will be using Embarcadero Delphi 10.3 community edition.
When the project file [login to view URL] is opened using Delphi 10.3, there is an error
"DBX Drror: Driver could not be properly initialized. Client library may be missing, not installed properly, of the wrong version, or the driver may be missing from the system path."
The goal of this project is to be able to provide to me the steps that I need to take on my machine in order to compile the project successfully.
When I compile, the error is "F2613 Unit 'DBXpress' not found
I've tried installing the firebird database driver, but it is not working.
The files attached are the firebird database server installer ([login to view URL]), database ([login to view URL]) and project file ([login to view URL])
I'm an expert Delphi / Firebird developer and can fix the issue for you. I'm using Delphi 10.2 Tokyo , but it should be exactly the same on 10.3 Rio.
I will fix so that it compiles and runs, and tell you all the steps taken.
Can deliver in 1 day (24 hrs) or less. Good quality work done.
Bests,
Steve
