I have extensive programming experience in C/C++. I also have extensive experience in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation. I have written commercially successful plugins for a major 3D animation package. I have reverse-engineered 3D object formats in the past for importing into applications via plugins I have created. It is usually reasonably straightforward. However some proprietary formats are intentionally obfuscated which can make reverse-engineering problematic. I would be very happy to take a preliminary look at the format in question if you can supply a link. In fact I think this would be extremely useful to determine the work and turnaround time.
