We are looking for help in coding certain stock market chart indicators. Our application is in ASP.NET, C# and our present programmer is not having success coding certain formulas.
I have attached the present C# coding file and a spreadsheet that shows the correct results plus the missing and wrong results that are presently being calculated.
This project is to examine the attached C# file and a rewrite or fix the current code including comments or changes made/needed.
In the application we are currently designing we manually input the open, high, low, close of a period and have the computer generate the indicator settings. All of the indicators are based on the closing price.
The indicators we need computed are:
Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) 5, 10, 2
MACD Line
MACD Signal Line
MACD Histogram
These are the formulas:
Answer 1: The formula for the EMA is as follows:
for n-period EMA, k=2/(n+1)
EMA[i] = k* close[i] + (1-k)*EMA[i-1]
Answer 2a: The syntax is for the MACD indicator is: MACD( m, n, k ). The MACD line is calculated as follows:
MACD line: EMA(m) - EMA(n)
Answer 2b: The MACD signal line is calculated by taking the k-period EMA of MACD from 2a -- where MACD(m, n, k).
Answer 2c: To calculate the MACD Histogram, subtract MACD signal from MACD line.
This website also has details on EMA calculations.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
