Instructions Purpose The task of the assignment is to replicate all data analyses in the Excel Demo (BLOCK IV - C). More precisely, you conduct each of the following analysis for the data given in the Assignment C Excel file, which is downloaded from the subchapter "Assignment C": Test the difference between the mean of a variable and a fixed value Test the difference between the means of two variables in the same population Test the difference between the means of a variables in two populations Test the equality between the variances of a variable in two populations Test the simple linear association between two variables Y and X Test the linear associations between one variable Y and a set of variables (X1, …, Xk) Test the multiple linear association between Y and (X1, …, Xk) Test the partial association between Y and Xi Tasks The assignment Excel file has the same structure as that of Excel Demo. The first tab of the assignment is the data tab, which has the same data organization as in the data tab of Excel Demo. The other tabs of the assignment are analysis tasks. The tab names are identical to those in Excel Demo and highlight the tasks to be completed. The difference is that these tabs of the assignment are blank, but their counterparts of Excel Demo are filled with analysis results. Your job is to refill the corresponding analysis of the Excel Demo to the blank tabs of the assignment, using the same method as demonstrated in Excel Demo, but a different data given in the data tab of the assignment. Read each task of the assignment (i.e., what you are asked to do) carefully, your task may have different variable or population (or both) from those in the Excel Demo. For example, the task in Excel Demo may be to calculate the descriptive statistics of ATTITUDE in Population 1 using Excel build-in functions, but your task in the assignment could be to calculate the descriptive statistics of PREFERENCE in population 2 using build-in functions. All cells marked by yellow color in the Excel Demo are required to be reported in your assignment. Keep the same decimals as the Excel Demo does. The assignment is due 11pm Sunday of this week (the last day of the week).
