Small Business Owner seeks freelancing help - MANY POSITIONS (eBay, Web design, Graphics, Admin Asst, Copy writer)

I have a small online business and a couple of other websites. I am seeking help from several freelancers on as as-needed basis in the following areas: 1. Ebay Trading Assistant (Short-term) 2. Ebay Trading Assistant (Long-term) 3. Web Designer/Developer (General consulting) 4. Web designer/Developer (Volusion) 5. Copy Writer 6. Astronomy Writer 7. Assistant for “link building” (SEO) 8. Graphic Designer Again – this is “as needed”. This may range from 0 to several hours per week every now and then. So my tasks will be better suited to individual freelancers, not organized groups or companies. Please review details of the position below that interest you. I will NOT reply to responses that are canned and not customized to my requirements. Preference will be given to those already having feedback on GAF. If you charge based on units (for example, $ per hour or $ per 100 words), please provide that info as it will be very useful. After I short-list some candidates in a few days, I will contact some of you with more questions, request for work samples (if applicable), and rates. For now, just bid $30 in your response with some details in your response. POSITION DETAILS 1. EBAY TRADING ASSISTANT (SHORT-TERM) - I have an online site, but want to set up an eBay store - Consult to me to help me select the best solution given my requirements (auction management software, etc.) - Set up the eBay store for me. This includes creating the store as well as very attractive/professional product page templates to be used in auctions (I will provide content and details). - Prefer US-based person - You MUST have experience in doing this 2. EBAY TRADING ASSISTANT (LONG-TERM) - Can be the same person as in (1) above - Run my eBay store for me. Put up auctions, monitor competition for their prices and content, alert me to customer correspondence/questions, etc. - I will stock items, pack and ship them. Your job will just be to post auctions daily/regularly and deal with non-technical correspondence. - You will be paid a small percentage of the sales price for your effort. Most of this will be automated, so don’t expect a large cut. - Great if you already spend a lot of time on eBay for yourself and want to make a bit more on the side. - You MUST have experience in doing this - Prefer US-based person - Excellent English/creative writing skills a plus. 3. WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER (GENERAL CONSULTANT) - Need on-going contact with an expert designer knowledgeable in many platforms/technologies for phone or email consultation and occasional small projects (scripts, simple html pages, answering technical questions, etc.) - I have several web projects in the pipeline, so there is an opportunity for long term design work, although that is not in the scope now. - Since this is a consulting role for very short periods of time, we will need to work out a suitable method for payment. - Excellent feedback on GAF required. 4. WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER – VOLUSION e-commerce platform/shopping cart - My site will soon be hosted on the Volusion shopping cart platform - If, and ONLY if, you have significant Volusion experience, I am interested in hiring someone to run my online store. - Tasks would include site and product maintenance, and activating/setting up other Volusion features. - Please don’t apply if you don’t have Volusion experience. Experience with other similar platforms only will not do. 5. COPY WRITER - I sell scientific products online related to astronomy (telescopes, binoculars, etc.) - Looking for someone to improve product descriptions and other site material (help pages, about us content, etc.). I already have a lot of content. I will provide references to examples and technical info. You need to improve it and make it sound great. - All content should be SEO friendly so you should know SEO basics. - Other occasional ad copy for banner ads and links - You must be a creative writer with impeccable English writing skills. Knowledge of writing ad copy for astronomy a huge plus. - Excellent feedback on GAF helpful but will choose person based on submitted samples. 6. ASTRONOMY WRITER (not Astrology – star sign stuff, which is completely unrelated) - This is a long shot, but… Are you a writer and an amateur astronomer with good knowledge of astronomy and astronomical products? Want to write astronomy articles? Contact me and we can talk. 7. “LINK BUILDING” (SEO) ASSISTANT - I have a list of websites I would like to approach to exchange links to mutually boost our SEO rankings - However, this is NOT a blanket submittal request that most people blindly do. - You must have excellent English grammar/writing skills. - You must be able to view the site content at other sites and tweak/re-draft my original request to customize it to the site we are approaching for a link. - Not looking for the services of an SEO expert for this. Just need someone with very good English, common sense to customize our request, and some experience in doing this before. This is mostly admin type stuff. - I will provide an initial list of sites to email. You will need to follow their links/use search engines to find many more directory or special interest sites we could get a link from. 8. GRAPHIC DESIGNER - OK, I know that there are a _lot_ of graphic designers on this forum. I am looking to build a relationship with a couple of people for the following types of projects, but the volume and frequency of work will be pretty small. - Create static and dynamic banner ads - Create logos and other small graphics - Manipulate/resize/adjust images for web site - Great for an individual looking for occasional freelancing income and willing to work for a few $ at a time or per project.
