We're in need of a managed router solution for our customers. We're an ISP and we would like the ability to use an existing home or business CPE router. Ie Cisco, Linksys, Belkin, Netgear. We would like to rewrite it's firmware so that we may control various options remotely.
We would like to be able to fully configure router remotely from a remote control panel. We need to be able to change SSID, Wep Key, Lan and Wan settings etc. in addition we would like to be able to set a router to AP mode or repeater mode.
I know that there are firmware rewrites out there (tomato, ddwrt, etc) but I am not aware of any that will give you the ability to change programming options remotely through a control panel.
On the control panel side we would like to store customers name, address, make of router, mac id and they we would like to be able to configure options.

Hi I have experience writing network automation scripts, and have re-written opendwrt to be compatible with other requirements.
I believe I can assist you in providing a control panel for configuring the options you want to configure.
I'd like to discuss more on it if you have some time to chat that would be great.
