I own a medical billing company, and we need a programmer to develop an access database driven program to that will manage our work flow. We need the ability to track our clients billing, track claim auditing via questionnaire, import claim files, export claim files, invoice & receive payments, and quickbooks integration and/or ability to export to IIF file type. We also need robust reporting functionality that we can customize ad-hoc and provide to our clients. This will be a contract for hire position and I will want to retain copyright once the project is completed. This is a project that my staff and I have been brainstorming on for the past year so we have a good template, sample data, and screenshots for a programmer to start with. Our office is located in Forney, and I am looking for someone who will be able to spend some time working at our location with my staff and I.

I have the skillset to write this in access but I am curious as to why you have chosen access. Is this going to be a roles based application with certain users being able to do only certain tasks? With other users being able to do more, like administrative functions? How much data do you plan to store within this application? I have 17 years experience in the Healthcare IT field designing and implementing products for community oncology and I was laid off due to a company restructuring event. I just completed my second consulting job in which I was the acting CTO for a healthcare IT startup and have some free time that I would like to dedicate it to this project should you choose me.
