Hire an App Developer

Developer sought for an IOS social media project. We are currently working a lean model, but have gotten ahead of ourselves brainstorming and maching up (in a good way). The machup and overall UX/concept have been developed quite heavily, but we are looking to start lean with only a few basic functions, test the concept, make changes as needed, then continue to add modules and test. The application itself is a social media platform dedicated to a certain type of interaction between people that has not been tried to date. While we are not requiring an NDA, we are not fully comfortable throwing the idea out to the public community until we know the developer. We are open to equity arrangements; but I will be the first to say that we are not generating income, and will certainly pay for the development. I just wanted to make it clear that the option is on the table if you feel like the long term benefits will pay off. We're open to negotiation. My partner and I are in the corporate sector (I am the Risk Manager of a financial institution and my partner is the CFO), and have extensive business experience, but lack the tech background to pull the project off. We've already completed a UX consultation and have developed the concept quite deeply. We have almost a full machup, and will be glad to share it with you at the appropriate time. At this time, we need a good developer to work along side of us. We are told that the development will not be terribly complicated, but we'll leave that up to you as the developer. We do have contacts that are open to discussing funding, but we need to get the budget down before we can formally meet with a VC. Onto the project itself. We hope to combine several basic levels of interaction between users. At the most basic level, the application will require the ability to take a photo and upload. Photos from users will then feed to a master activity stream that all users will see (and have the choice to validate or reject a photo). Said photos will also need to be saved to an individual profile. Next, we'll need to tag members, provide geolocation information (along with several options such as sharing geolocation now, in an hour, or not at all). Additionally, the geolocation data will need to be stored and used for other functions. Within these activities is a form of gamification that will tie the activities together. We will also need to have a module of content filtered in from other applications. As you have already gathered, there are similar applications out there, we just have a niche that's fairly large which hasn't been fully utilized. So at this point, we would like to speak with developers who are passionate about social media and understand the lean concept.
