Organ Symphony Assistant

What is Organ Symphony Assistant? Organ Symphony Assistant (OSA) is a collection of audio files which recreate the ensemble section only of musical works composed for the combination of these ensembles plus organ. These works are select ones of my choosing and comprise music from the 18th century through today. The collection is of both well-known and less obscure works. Purpose These audio files are intended to be used by classical organists who may wish to learn “concerto” type repertoire for organ and orchestra. With OSA audio files, organists can accompany themselves, listening to the audio files of the orchestra section through a sound system or headphones while, at the same time, playing the organ part. Use OSA would be useful to students and even professionals who wish to learn the organ part to works in the OSA collection as an exercise or for future performance. How does it work? Once the organist has access to an OSA audio file, they have options as to how it can be utilized. The file is intended to be used with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). The files are digital orchestra recreations plus a click track. In a DAW, the click track can be separated from the orchestral track, allowing the user to send the click track through a separate earpiece. A DAW, will also allow the possibility of sending the various sections of the orchestra (strings, brass, woodwinds) through different audio channels depending on the size of user’s audio system. Creation These files are created in the Sibelius program supplemented with the Note Performer sample set. They are interpretations, with dynamics and tempo fluctuations. The music is derived from original scores. However, a click track is added to aid in keeping the user in sync with the audio track. They are saved in a WAV format. Why the need for a computer tech? Currently there is no way to protect the files from copying by the user. It has been suggested to me that VST software may be a solution but that is beyond my abilities. Ultimately, I would like the files to be only usable by the purchaser and not transferable to anyone else. There is a limited market for this product, so the cost to create a solution may outweigh the income. It would be more ideal to add something to the existing WAV file that is already on the market. The kind of computer developer I need is simply someone versed in music and in security or file protection.
