Python, Arduino and Raspberry PI

Can you provide more information about the application please? Are other hardware components - such as sensors, actuators, network modules - required aside from the Arduino and Raspberry Pi? I have Arduino boards and a Raspberry Pi at hand, but - depending on the precise hardware requirements - may need to order extra components. What is the timeframe?
