I am an active investor in the financial markets looking to develop a trading algorithm in Python. At this point in time, I have ideas on what logic to incorporate into the algo but nothing set in stone. This is more explorative to see what we can come up with. I am looking for more of a partner than trying to hire somebody. The potential here is equal rights to the algo for personal use and licensing purposes should it be successful. With my knowledge of the markets and someone with knowledge of python functions and syntax, there's great potential for a worthwhile project. The best part is once its developed, I can paper trade it to see the performance and if everythign checks out, its passive income. Do you want a passive income stream?

What kind of strategy do you want to test? Does it involves indicators or book reading? One good option is Metatrader instead of Python. It's a really good platform for tests. Maybe we can discuss more in private.

Skills relevant to the project: 1- Stock trading experience 2- Game theory 3- Discrete Optimization 4- Algorithmic trading 5- Software Engineering p.s. depending on the size of historical data, it might be more efficient to implement the ideas in c rather than Python. If you would like to interface later with a certain python based framework, then we can call the C based executable binary from within a python script.
