I had a client who had Prestashop 1.6 installed with a theme that was also 1.6 compatible.
I asked client to permit me to update PS to 1.7. Site backend then broke. I hired a freelancer to fix which they did. Then they said they could update the theme but would need to have the 1.7 theme provided, so I did, and when they did that update, site front end broke, and backend was working showing orders, customers, etc. Then hired another freelancer who swore up and down he would be able to help me. Well turns out he almost helped me loose client entirely. When first freelancer began work I took backups manually of all files in /public_html of file manager. I also took what i thought was a complete backup of sql. Turns out being my backup timed out, and was not complete. When second coder started working, he had the genius idea of wiping my database for some reason to then reload my backup. Ends up screwing me up big time, because the database was so large that the host Godaddy had backups in place, but due to size the backups were not backing up since April.
I have a backup sql database already loaded, BUT its from the Prestashop 1.6 days. So not entirely sure if you can just go to [login to view URL] and just enter the table name in, and connect the old database structure to the new 1.7 files, but if that can't be done, what I'd like is someone who can basically copy over all the orders, customers, etc anything you can from the backup into this new db created for 1.7.
I have this needed to be done over a week ago, my deadline is far past, my budget what I was given, but I need to get this complete and I need to find someone who I can continue to rely on because once this clients site gets back online we are planning to do major launch of his drop shipment service, and we need someone reliable to help us maintain Prestashop ongoing.
Need someone who can start now please. I know it may be late, so please only message if you can start now.
