'Pointing records' on a wordpress site

Ok. So I have built and hosted a couple of websites using wordpress, they are simple but effective and I have been asked to make another for a friend who runs a cafe and wants to put their menu on the website. Someone else owns the Webspace and they have asked that rather than transfer the domain to me, could I just 'point the records'. I believe this is the same as forwarding the url they own for to my hosted site but I just want to be sure. Could you please simply explain what I need to do on this please?

Hi! where do you have the domain ? pointing means either changing the nameservers or placing the ip at the a record. That way the domain finds the webspace, forward is a redirection of the domain.
