PHP Script Error with FTP Connection Due to certificate

We have a simple php script that is doing a ftp connection and downloading a file to the server. Currently the script is not able to connect to one FTP site due to certificate. Connection is working on filezila. Someone suggested to download the certificate to the server but we also need help with that.
