Hi. I can implement this in either the PHP or Perl programming language. With PHP it might be as simple as using 'file_get_contents' - passing an appropriately defined FTP context. With Perl one could use the LWP::UserAgent module. It is worth noting that there are inherent security risks in using plain (unencrypted) FTP - so if there as an FTPs (FTP Secure) option I would use that instead. The bones of the work should only take a fewhours - but I would like to leave longer for fine-tuning, etc.. If you can grant me server access I can configure the CRON job also. Does the downloaded file need to be imported in to a database? Is this a Wordpress site? (I ask because Wordpress has its own system for CRON jobs.) I am based in Ireland so operate in GMT - regular hours Mon-Sat.
