create fast tunnel to MySQL db in vb.net

Dear Freelancers, currently we use dotConnect for MySQL from devart to create a HTTP tunnel to MySQL in a vb project, but we dont like it as it is very slow. I was wondering if there are better / faster ways to access the db? For example teamviewer work well on every kind of network. What you need to do : create a fast http tunnel to connect to a mySQL db or make a connection to mySQL in networks where all ports are closed except for http port 80 Thank you Steve
