Hello; I have projects done with Telit GC864 and C/C++ code running on Embedded Linux O.S but using an SKY2440 from Hiteg, not an Arduino. If you have as a platform Linux I think we can cooperate because the subject here is more related with serial communications, at command processing, Telit module configuration. BTW I will be using Qt-creator and Qt-framework, first using the boost library, and finally internal Qt classes using TCP/IP through ser2net to access serial ports with sockets.
