This project is for an ecommerce marketplace platform similar to Etsy, 11main (Opensky) and other popular marketplaces. The marketplace platform, hereon referred to as “the marketplace” must adhere to the follow core requirements: - The marketplace must be built using a standard MVC framework such as Yii - The marketplace must be scalable to host thousands of products, customer and vendor accounts - The marketplace should be hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) - The marketplace must be expandable to be able to operate in different AWS data centres in differing regions for responsiveness and high availability - Features of the marketplace must have components that can be turned on progressively as the site gains popularity - The marketplace must be secure and built using “best practice” methods and techniques for the protection of buyers and sellers as well as the site owners/operators - The marketplace must be design and developed so that the platform may be deployed for other marketplace types (with differing look and feel and potentially different business logic) - The business logic of the marketplace must be configurable and easily expandable via an extensive administration panel Please refer to the attached PDF document which explains the project requirements in further detail. In order to be eligible to bid for this project, the freelancer must: - Have designed, built and launched a minimum of 3 marketplace websites (please provide examples) - Have deployed at least 10 ecommerce websites on the AWS hosting platform (please provide examples) - Have experience in technical writing and design (please provide examples) - Have significant experience with graphic and web page design and web user interfaces (please provide examples) - Have an excellent grasp of the English language and able to communicate effectively and efficiently - Provide a 3 – 5 page document that: - Provides an overview of how you will design, develop and implement the marketplace website - Lists the examples and previous experience above We look forward to working with the selected freelancer long term to construct, support and maintain a powerful eCommerce marketplace platform.
