Backend Software Engineer

Swiss Mobility Solutions (SMS) a Gemalto company, is a B2B provider of Test & Measurement solutions to assess the Quality on Mobile Broadband.   Our business is focused on a set of tools to assure the Quality of Experience in mobile networks.   As  Backend software engineer, you will join a young and enthusiastic team based in Alicante, Spain.   You will be building a SaaS product with big data and performance challenges, which require high doses of creativity for the most inquiring minds. Main responsibilities/   Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work out the SW development according to marketing requirements, Define test cases for technical validation, Monitor product and features developments, following a close collaboration with Marketing. Act as a leader, coordinating developments and ensuring that product development is in schedule, Ensure that Release plans are met, Support on creating technical specifications and useful documentation to ensure application is easily deployed by Delivery [login to view URL]: Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience: Proven development experience in backend technologies. Competencies: Mandatory qualification: Complete knowledge of J2EE and other Java frameworks, Solid understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL expertise, Vocational software engineer with a taste for simplicity and seek for excellence, Desired qualification: Prior experience with SCRUM, TDD or other agile software development practices, First-hand development experience in SaaS and big data projects, In-depth understanding of technologies related to data warehouse, data mining and expert systems, Java performance optimization expert.
