Excel spreadsheet that tracks water usage, heating fuel usage, and vacancy rates for approximately 20 buildings. On sheet 1, for the first two items above we input delivery date, meter reading or delivery amount, and location. For the third item, vacancy, we input the date and amount. After entering each data set we hit the enter key and the inputted data automatically appears on sheet 2. An equalizing factor is applied to the numbers in this table and they’re transferred to sheet x, which displays the data in a printable format. In the past the worksheet functioned correctly but currently when opened the worksheet gives an error report window that states, “Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The information you were working on might be lost. Microsoft Office Excel can try to recover it for you?? followed with a check box to “recover my work and restart Microsoft Office Excel??. Also at the bottom is an option to view the error report which appears to be a string of code. If one chooses to view the recovered file the spreadsheet opens, however the recovered/repaired file does not look like nor function like the original one.
