Running on a redhat apache server. don't think I have root access, hosted by [login to view URL]
We are a 501-C (3) not for profit. Our mission is to service the indigent population. I have been involved with computers since 93, however not all of our volenteers are computer saavy, and since I have to travel setting up food programs. I need to set up a site that a novice can update, add to, delete, etc via a control panel or some other means while I am away, also that I can tap into on the road and modify when nessassary on the fly (like a daily or weekly activity diary. With that said this is the concept, (looking to build a long term relationship with the right programmer(s), web designers, search friendly code, with expantion in mind. No beginners, you design, setup and get it running, so we can put our energy into promoting it.
1. Need a website portal:
2. It's purpose is to raise donations to service the indigent population
3. Must be really sticky
4. php/mysql or if you have a better idea
5. need automated services that visitors can use for a donations. Submit service, dating service(script to import members from deltascripts php matchmaker) or other, like [login to view URL], chat, etc. Products to sell some examples would be self improvement ie easystreet pps [login to view URL], promotion services similar to [login to view URL], [login to view URL]
6. I am open to ideas that could help raise donations if you have suggestions. As long as they can be preformed mostly online by visitors automatically with a donation value, one time fee or monthly or products/software.
7. Paypal intergration, credit cards do not have to be processed online for the moment, we have a merchant account accepting mastercard, visa, amex.
8. built in ways to promote the site and get traffic to site.
9. Although we are a Church Mission, I am one of the younger Pastors and creativity on your part is not a problem, it is welcomed. another words, just because we are a church, does not mean bland, boring or lame. We are an outreach mission, so we roll up our sleeves and are out in the communities. I am leaving on April 7 to go to a staging area to prepare for humanitarian efforts in the middle East so would like to decide on a programmer before I leave. However, speed and user friendly is a focus.
10. Our url is [login to view URL], it is lame and slippery as teflon, so don't be afraid to be creative, no offense taken.
11. newsletter, optin list, freelancer script, shopping cart, auto responders, etc.
12. To insure we don't get burnt again and waste another year, we will pay as needed in increments during the course of the project to completion. State your terms, follow up support and tweaking.
As a side bar, we have been there before. So what a waste of time and money that could have fed more people. To say the least the Bishop reemed me. But I still think this venue can work to help those in need so I am going to do this project from my own pocket to prove it can work. Then I will have a budget from the organization for future projects. So if you can help me prove my point to them, and make a real sticky portal, I want to work with you. I am easy to get along with and honest about my capabilites or lack of, you should be the same. Thank you, Pastor Nappi
