Customer/ registrant functions/options: Registration as registrant/ customer is open to a person having a bank account in Canadian bank only. Customer should be able to: - Create and edit personal account - May have a one or more co-registrants, for example: a main registrant (such as the bride), and may have co-registrants (such as the groom, and a few in-laws). - Create a separate names for each of registries - Create a multiple registries - Create an guest list/address book - Activate a gift diary/journal - Add multiple emails/send messages to multiple recipients - Update the registry - Change their password - Connect their registry with their wedding website or Profile on Nuptia. For example: HTML code for a direct link to the bride's registry - can be posted anywhere on the internet? - For further security, the registrant may choose to hide their addresses or any personal information from anyone (except administrator) who views their registry list - Write an entrance story for gift givers: For example: how we will spend your gift money…, or short message, poem, etc. - Create a Thank you Notes for gift givers The process next passes to step 2, which includes creating a record for customer in registry and storing customer information. The customer may be any person or group of persons who desires to have a customer record stored in the registry. The customer record stores information received from the customer at the time the customer record is created, and includes identifying characteristics of the customer such as a customer account to which gift funds will eventually be directed. Additionally, the customer record should identify an event for which the customer record is created, address to which gifts might be delivered, message to the contributors and etc. The customer information also includes a customer account number. This information may also include the customer's social security number, or any other confidential information. In addition to accepting the customer information the system should also accept an event selection for which the customer record is being created. Such events may include weddings, graduations, birthdays, and the birth of a child, Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other special occasion. The event may influence the length of time in which the gift account remains active. This may range from 1-12 months. The registry front registration page should include following: • Small welcome/benefits message (content) • Registration form • Terms and conditions • Entrance for existing registrants • Short (marketing) survey in check boxes format –optional Registration/Gift Account info: • Full Name • Name/s of the co registrants if applicable • Registry title/occasion (drop down list with additional custom occasion option to fill as text) • Event Date, pop-up calendar • Registry closing date (optional otherwise the closing date will be 12 months after the creation date or if checked by registrant event date), pop-up calendar • Description or comment which can be edited at any time (optional) • Registrant Address/ Delivery address if different from Registrant Address • Registrant E-mail • Contact Number • Password • Conformation of Password • Acceptation of the terms and conditions • Conformation that all above mentioned information is true and up-to-date • Create an account button Once registrant has created a gift registry, he/she will receive a confirmation via e-mail with a link to accessing and managing the gift registry. As a next step registrant will create a “Guest List/address book”. Guest List entries: • Full Name • Accompanies • Email address • Mail address (optional) in case registrant would like to send the registration note by mail (extra cost) • Relationship • Gift Status • Thank you note status • Comments (optional) Guest list should be pre-viewed, manageable and printable in table format. Once guests list is created registrant could choose to add/send the short entrance message to the guests, as available options: the same standard message to all guests or separate message to any guest. Once message is send to the quests each guest will receive a message from couple and personal link/password to the registrant registry or registry id. Each guest information input into the guest list is an automatically create a separate account in registry system. While the registry is in progress, the registrant could track the activity using Dairy/Reports and, an email is sent to registrant each time a gift transaction occurs. Once gift givers made a payment, a gift record will be created and registrant can use this information to manage “thank you notes” for the purchases. He/she can mark whether or not you have sent a “thank you note”. The process next passes to step 3, which includes creating a gift account associated with the customer record. A gift account is opened for the customer by us (in the financial institution). So each customer need to have separate account within our system (same as for example Bank/ Paypal account) to which deposits will be transferred to. Once the gift account is established, the process passes to step 4, wherein gift funds are collected from a contributor/ gift giver and deposited into a gift account. A deposit can be made through visa or debit card. The gift account is a single direction account from the perspective of a gift giver: deposits may be made into the gift account but no withdrawals by the gift giver are possible. Each gift account has its own id, which is used by a gift giver wishing to make a deposit of gift funds to specify into which gift account the contributor wants the gift funds deposited. The gift account id may include any series of digits, letters or characters, or any combination thereof. Gift giver /Contributor functions/options: Registration is open to anyone. Upon first visit to the registrant page on the website using the gift account id/link/password received, the gift giver will see first message from the registrant and his/her personal account (filled by the registrant), the contributor should have an option to manage and update his/her account information. • Full Name • Accompanies • Email address • Mail address • Relationship with a registrant Once the gift giver will enter the account the account became active. This should be reflected in registry record, and registrant and administrator will receive email about it. The process next passes to step 5. In this step, the gift funds are transferred to the customer account. The gift funds may only be deposited into the gift account for a limited period of time, after this time expires (12 months). It should be appreciated that the customer may not immediately be able to withdrawal all of the gift funds from the customer account. The process next passes to step 6, in which the transaction terminal/system accepts inputs from a contributor for the collection. The amount to be paid could be any sum equal to 25 (for example, 25x 2 = 50, 25x3=75, etc) The deposits may be accepted by receiving gift giver input of debit or credit card information, or a transfer of funds from one of the contributor's financial accounts to the gift account, including the input of any security features associated with the debit or credit card, such as a personal identification number (PIN). Each contribution/inputs should also include the handling fees, which will be paid by contributor to us in form of certain % from the amount of gift input. After the gift funds are deposited, they are received into the gift account and the transaction is complete. Gift giver could select the following options to reflect the purchase: attach/ send e-mail message to the registrant. A receipt of the deposit should be generated for the contributor. Once a gift giver purchases a gift registry item, a gift registry item purchase /gift record is created, and the registry list reflects this. After gift giver will submit the payment he will receive by email an invoice/gift certificate confirming that from us. The process next passes to step 7, in which the customer is notified of the deposit of the gift funds into the customer's gift account. The notice may contain both the amount deposited and the identity of the contributor who made the deposit. The notice may be send to the customer via an electronic mail message. Additionally, a periodic statement may be sent to the customer to document all activity of the gift account over a particular period of time, such as a monthly statement, for example. The gift funds may be retained in the gift account until the gift account becomes inactive, the length of gift account activity based on the event selection made by the customer. Once the gift account is no longer active, the process moves to step 8 and the gift funds are transferred to the customer account. The gift funds are transferred from the gift account into the proper customer bank account. Registrant checkout All cash gifts will be deposited into registrant private account. Then the registrant might choose to: • Receive it in “cash” Registrant may withdraw his/her monetary gift total amount after the registry closing date by electronically transferring it to his/her bank account. Each output should also include the handling fees, which will be paid by customer to us in form of certain % from the amount of gift output. • “High ticket” – buy goods from our shops • Buy travel certificate – from our travel agent 2 weeks before the registry closing date registrant should receive an email from Administrator reminding about the dateline. This email should also include instructions how to use available choices/options. • If registrant will choose to receive transfer to his/her account we will charge him/her for that. • If registrant will choose to buy products from our shops – he/she will use his/she username and password to enter the shop website and make the purchase using special coupon/code. • If registrant will choose to buy the travel certificate – we will transfer his/her information/account to out travel agency, so registrant could buy from them up to his account balance.
