Web Site assistance. I wanted to give you a detailed breakdown of what I'm looking to accomplish. I hope you can see my vision from my description and accuratly quote me a price and time frame. First of all, I'm a disabled combat veteran from the US Army Special Forces. I came home from the military a few years ago and got involved in the mortgage business which only lasted for a short period of time due to the crash of the subprime market as you must know. I have always had an electronics business on the side, at least for the past 5 years. My military disability pay isn't enough so I'm trying to make my electronics business full time to support my family. I will be donating a percentage of my sales to the Army Emergency Relief Fund. They have done a lot for me and it would be nice to give something back. It would also allow me to get some advertising on military sites. I had this site running through Yahoo Small Business but needed to get away because they were charging 1.5% of my sales which was killing my profit after the credit card processor got their money and after Yahoo's $40 per month fee. I decided to go with a host called [login to view URL](dot)com and transferred my domain over to them. I have pre-paid for 2 years of hosting with siteground as an ecommerce site. The nature of my business is to sell 15 +/- minus products for now in 4/5 different categories. It is a very simple site but I don't want it to look like every other site out there. I just want a fresh look and feel with a military twist. I also want it to look clean and not cluttered. I sell primarily to the Soldiers overseas and waive shipping fees for them and give them retail products at wholesale pricing. Because of the name and my clientelle, I want a military theme to it. It doesn't have to be anything specific but just use some creativity. My products include laptop computers, gaming systems, navigation systems, cameras, memory cards, etc. I buy in bulk and with my low overhead, pass the savings on to my customers so they don't have to pay Circuit city and Best Buy prices. I need a logo created for the site and will also use that logo for my business cards, stationary, etc. I'm thinking about a military stencil font which is typical on many things relative to the military. I clearly remember seeing this type of writing on the side of our ammunition boxes and laundry bags. I was looking for Dynamic Swish, Swish and Flash templates on [login to view URL](dot)com and none of them seem to have a military them. I'm not sure if this can be customized enough to have a military theme or if a fresh template would have to be created. Let me know what you think. I'm open to ideas. Siteground(dot)com offers free use of their shopping cart systems which include OsCommerce, CREloaded, and Zen Cart. I don't know the differnce between them except for a few things. I would just like to get this thing off the ground. My site has been sitting dormant for the past few months because my wife and I had a baby and I've been busy with that and school. Basically, the template can be created or customized as long as the developer knows how to implement the shopping cart system. I read somewhere that Siteground can assist in installing the shopping cart system or do it for you. I already have an account with Google Checkout and would like to use them as my credit card processor. If possible, I thought it would be a nice idea to have a live chat button on the site for customers to ask questions anytime and have it linked to either my AOL instant messenger or Yahoo via my Blackberry. I am logged in all day long everyday so if someone clicks for help, I can be a few seconds away to be able to answer any questions. If the music in the background can be customized, I want a faint sound of a military cadence or the music that is played when the Flag is raised in the morning. To be funny, I thought it would be cool to have a gun shot sound eveytime someone clicks something. Not mandatory but thought it would add a nice touch. I would like mine to be something similar where you can click on a navigation system and the middle column can change to show a photo or even video of it while the right column shows detailed text with the option to add to the shopping cart.
