I have a very simple store site that was made in PHP and MYSQL. It
sells high end machines so there is no cart or check out.
What I would like to do is make this system support muliple stores/shops.
Like lest say you own your own sales lot, you can signup on my site and
then be able to create a store profile (logo, color scheme, info such as
address, etc). Then you would have your own admin area for your inventory
and to update your info.
This is very simular to like an ebay or yahoo store. People can search,
inventory based on seller name or all sellers. They can also browse based
on basic search cryteria. They will get a list of items avliable (simular to
the one currently on the site) and be able to click that item and get a sales
profile for that machine. There should be a 'contact us on this item' type button
that goes to a form where the browser can submit their info and ask for an email or
call back. The company info should also be on that form so they may call direct if they
like. If the form is submitted, it should show the info for the item they were looking
at as well.
The front page will have a list of featured dealers (3) and featured items (5). It will
also have a search box with advanced options, like type of machine, etc.
I think this is the bulk of it, please let me know if you have any questions.
Oh yes, the sellers can make an account but it is not activated until they use
paypal to to subscribe. I can help with that portion if needed (the paypal
